MUMMY & ME FITNESS
Calling all new Mums! Feeling the urge to get back into shape but worried about childcare? We hear you! That's why we're thrilled to announce the re-launch of Mummy & Me Fitness Class starting this April 2024!
Led by Danielle, a fully qualified pre and post-natal personal trainer and class instructor, this program is designed to help you safely and effectively regain your fitness while enjoying precious bonding time with your little one. A class tailored to be the perfect blend of fitness, wellness and social connection.
What’s Included.
Expert Guidance for a Safe & Effective Workout: This class will be designed with exercises specifically tailored for new mums, focusing on rebuilding core strength, toning muscles aiding postpartum recovery, improving posture, and burning those extra calories. The emphasis is on proper form and technique, with modifications available for different fitness levels, the goal is to create a supportive environment where each participant can progress at their own pace. so whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or just starting out, you're welcome!
Flexibility for Mothers and Babies: Forget the stress of finding childcare! This class allows you to bring your baby or toddler along. We'll have a designated play area for little ones to relax or explore while you get your sweat on. The accommodating atmosphere encourages consistency in attendance, promoting a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Boost Your Mood & Energy: Exercise is a well-known mood lifter and energy booster. The tailored workouts aim to increase energy levels, combating the fatigue that often accompanies new motherhood. Through a combination of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises, participants can expect to feel revitalised both physically and mentally.
Social Connection: Motherhood can sometimes be isolating, especially for new mums, meet other new mums in your area and create a network of support. Share experiences, swap tips, and forge friendships while you exercise!

45 minute workout class for new Mums on Wednesday’s, 11:00am during term times, located in The Mill Birth and Wellbeing Centre

In line with RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists) guidelines, the fitness professional should ensure that a client does not commence with general exercise for either six weeks in the case of a normal birth or 12 weeks for a C-section. In addition, they should ensure that any complications have passed before initiating an exercise routine. Besides this, normal screening procedures should be used to assess suitability to exercise.
